Catriona Gray's Latest Magazine Cover Photo Left Pia Wurtzbach Stunned

Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray is on the cover of the latest issue of Mega Magazine. The Filipino-Australian beauty queen and model proudly shared a photo of the cover on her Instagram.

Several fans and fellow celebrities quickly took to the comments section to shower Gray, 27, with praises. One of them was Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, who remarked: "You look amazing, Cat!"

In the cover photo, Gray struck a fierce pose while clad in a dark blazer and gold-colored miniskirt with prints of ancient human figures.

She surprised and delighted fans with her hair transformation. The former Miss World Philippines titlist sported a bob cut, a departure from her long hair.

Gray looked classy holding a Louis Vuitton handbag as she leaned back with one foot in stiletto heel propped up against the wall.

The same cover photo of Catriona was also posted on the magazine's Instagram account. The caption noted how she bravely transcended Miss Universe and taken up her rightful space.

“Beyond the glitz and glamour of being a pageant winner lies Catriona’s true passion: making a difference as an effective spokesperson, and she definitely did—throughout her reign and beyond,” the caption partly reads.

The magazine also announced its digital issue is now available on Readly, Zinio, Magzter, and Press Reader.

A Supportive Fellow Queen

Wurtzbach, 31, has always cheered on Gray since the latter competed in the Miss Universe pageant. After Gray was crowned, Wurtzback had a photo of them snapped on the stage and shared it on her Instagram.

She congratulated her fellow Miss Universe winner, writing on Instagram: "This girl is on fire! You started strong and captured our hearts with your grace, commitment and fearlessness!"

Gray was crowned winner of the most prestigious beauty pageant on December 17, 2018, in Bangkok, Thailand, beating 93 other candidates from around the world.

Besides Gray and Wurtzbach, other Miss Universe titleholders were Margie Moran (1973) and Gloria Diaz (1969).

Before clinching the coveted Miss Universe crown, Gray was also Miss World Philippines 2016 and completed in the Top 5 of the Miss World pageant.

But her love of joining pageantry started when she was little, having participated in the Little Miss Philippines pageant in Sydney in 1999.

Gray's advocacy includes promoting HIV/AIDS awareness and education, particularly for impoverished youth.
